Dress for Success Washington, DC’s Suiting Program provides professional attire and styling advice to women who are actively trying to re-enter the workforce. The program is so much more than a dress; indeed, it can truly be a transformative experience.

We need volunteers twice a year to assist at our Donation Day. Please fill out the volunteer form HERE so we best know how to utilize your skillsets.

Interested in Volunteering?

We are always looking for new, motivated volunteers! One of the best ways to help Dress for Success is by giving your time. If you can offer an hour or more of your time each week to help women in need, we will provide you with the training, tools, and support necessary to connect with our clients both virtually and, when it’s appropriate, in person. We’re especially interested in recruiting volunteers who have past experience in human resources or working with women in need.

Details About Volunteering for Dress for Success

  1. Inventory Management

    Volunteer stylists with Dress for Success work with financial and clothing donations to ensure the inventory on hand meets client needs.

  2. Suiting and Styling for the Interview

    Volunteer stylists work with clients who have a job interview to create an outfit the creates client needs. Because of COVID-19, the styling now occurs virtually, and clients are sent their clothes in a signature RED-y box.

  3. Attire for the Job

Upon obtainment of a full-time job, clients are invited to reconnect with their stylist, and together they pick out enough clothing to outfit the client for a week on the job.
